Learning Places

About the project

Gardens as Inclusive Green Learning Spaces is an Erasmus + project aiming at sharing expertise about green education across organizations in Europe. We collect and share the best methods and practices in the communities and train and actively engage participants on the topics of sustainability, circular economy, participatory methods, ecology, climate and food production.

The duration of the project: 2020-2022.

What is Erasmus +

Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. Erasmus+ offers mobility and cooperation opportunities for both individuals and organizations and supports, through lifelong learning, the educational, professional and personal development of people, thereby contributing to sustainable growth, quality jobs and social cohesion.

Who is involved

We are a collective of organizations and institutions focused on non-formal education in the context of garden-based solutions. Our work is focused on topics about sustainability, local or circular economy, green education, ecology, and food production. We strive for the inclusion of people with disabilities and the integration of socially excluded groups.

Our team includes educators, community practitioners, business consultants, trainers, gardeners, representatives of local authorities/offices and landscape designers. We operate in Germany, France, Poland, Italy and Sweden.
